While not all materials are separated at the time of collection, we offer specialized bins for specific waste types, such as paper and hazardous materials, to ensure they are disposed of properly. By providing dedicated solutions for recyclable materials like paper, we help our clients reduce their environmental impact. Hazardous waste is handled with care and sent to licensed facilities that are equipped to manage such materials safely, complying with all relevant regulations.
For general waste, we follow strict disposal procedures, ensuring that everything is transported to approved and regulated landfills. Our team is trained in the latest waste management practices, and we work closely with local authorities to ensure compliance with environmental standards. Inez, you were an unbelievable force, and will be dearly missed. Rest in peace fine lady. 🙏🏻😢The Antigonish Chamber of Commerce is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of our Board Member and past President, Inez Forbes, at St Martha’s Regional Hospital on Friday, June 13, 2025.Inez finished her term as President in April 2025. She will be remembered as a transformative leader. Under her direction, the Chamber saw significant growth in membership, engagement, and its ability to provide value to Antigonish’ business community. She was beloved by Chamber staff and by the many community members she dealt with as a volunteer, and through her work at XFM Radio and Hawthorne Convenience. She worked tirelessly for the Chamber with no sense of personal gain because she was dedicated to the community and people of Antigonish.Our thoughts and prayers are with Inez’s partner, children, siblings, extended family, and friends in this difficult time.
